Read below. “Founder of OldNaija, a history and culture platform in Nigeria, Omipidan Teslim, has disclosed that plans are underway to through historical photo exhibition sensitise and educate youths on the imperatives of history. He said this during a free historical exhibition organised by the group for the students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State. The exhibition, which was also part of the activities to mark the 2019 annual press week was held at the Department of Mass Communication where over 500 historical photos and some artefacts were on display. Omipidan, an award-winning poet remarked, “The knowledge of history is fast depleting in our society and if it continues like that, there will not be a single Nigerian youth who will know when Nigeria became a republic. “This is the first of its kind being brought to AAUA, the aim of the exhibition is to teach Nigerian history in a non-boring way and so it featured rally, games and quiz, old school songs, red carpet session and lots more.
