Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, professionally known as Olamide (also Baddo & BaddoSneh) is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist born on the 15th of March, 1989 in Bariga, Lagos State.
Olamide, one of Nigeria’s most famous and prolific rappers, has numerous hit songs to his name and has several awards over the years. In 2011, he released his debut studio album titled Rapsodi under Coded Tunes record label. On November 12 2012, he released his second album, YBNL (short for Yahoo Boy No Laptop), under his own independent record label – YBNL Nation.
His third album, titled Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (released in 2013) was also a success. In 2014, Olamide released Street OT, winning him another Album of the Year award at the Headies. In 2015, Olamide Baddo released 2 Kings, a collaboration with Phyno, as well as his fifth solo effort, Eyan Mayweather, another Album of the Year recipient at the NEAs.
His sixth album, The Glory, appeared in 2016, followed a year later by Lagos Nawa. Numerous non-album singles and freestyles appeared throughout the remainder of the decade.
