Brief Biography of Gbenga Adeboye (Funwontan Oduology)
Elijah Oluwagbemiga Adeboye, popularly known as Gbenga Adeboye, was a comedian, master of ceremony and broadcaster born on the 30th of September, 1959 at Odeomu, a town in Osun State, Nigeria.
He attended Apostolic Primary School, Odo-Okun Modakeke, Ile-Ife and later went to the Oramiyan Memorial Grammar School, Ife, before attending the Teacher Training College, Ipetumodu.
His programme on Radio Lagos earned him the nickname Funwontan in the early 1980s. Other notable nicknames of Gbenga Adeboye include Alaye mi Gbengulo, Abefe, Alhaji Pastor Oluwo, Jengbetiele, Itu baba Ita.
