Brief Biography
Akorede Babatunde Okunola, popularly known by his stage name, Saheed Osupa, is one of the best contemporary Fuji musicians in Nigeria. He was born into the family of late Alhaji Moshoodi Okunola on August 7, 1969, in Ajegunle, Lagos State but spent his early years in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Saheed Osupa graduated from Amuwo Odofin High School in 1987. He proceeded to study Business Administration at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he completed his National Diploma (ND) Programme in 1992. He is also an alumnus of the American International College where he studied Networking Operations.
Saheed Osupa, the King of Fuji as dubbed by his fans worldwide, started his fuji music career in 1983 when he was just a teenager. He released his first album, titled Fuji Fa Disco, in 1983 and was followed by Fuji Blues Demonstration, Master Blaster and others.
